I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in GREENVILLE TX where I ate at Royal Drive In and I saw a new cover story about bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got a couple items of clothing.
I should say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some more amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
