I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in GREENTOWN PA where I ate at T & P Country Store and Deli and I read a new article about bamboo. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I should tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I found out some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
