I travel a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in GETTYSBURG PA where I ate at Lincoln Diner and I came across an interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought some pieces of clothing.

I must say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I found some more interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
