I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in GARLAND TX where I ate at Flavor's Restaurant and I saw a really interesting piece about bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought some pieces of clothing.

I have to tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I found some other interesting facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
