I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner alone in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in GAINESVILLE FL where I ate at Eastside Pizza and I read a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.

I should admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I found some more incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
