I travel a lot for my work and so often end up eating alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in FRITCH TX where I ate at Alibates Trading Post and I came across a really interesting article about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and got some pieces of clothing.

I should say I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I found some other amazing details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
