I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in FREELAND PA where I ate at Olde World Pasta and I read a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased some items of clothing.
I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After a bit more research I found some amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
