I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in FORT SMITH AR where I ate at Butcher Block and I read a new article on bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found some interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
