I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in FORT PIERCE FL where I ate at Fried Rice Hut and I came across a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I should admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found out some more interesting details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
