I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought a few items of clothing.

I must say I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I discovered some more interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
