I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up eating by myself in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in FORT LAUDERDALE FL where I ate at The Deck Restaurant and I read a really interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I must tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a little more research I found out some other incredible details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
