I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in FLORAL PARK NY where I ate at Twin Park Deli and I read an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got some basic items of clothing.
I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some other incredible details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
