I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in FLINT MI where I ate at Golden Gate Restaurant-Coney Island and I came across a really interesting article to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.

I should tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found some interesting details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
