I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner alone in cafes. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in FERGUS FALLS MN where I ate at Mabel Murphys Eating & Drinking Establishment and I saw a really interesting article about bamboo. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After a bit more research I discovered some more incredible details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
