I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up eating all alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in FAYETTEVILLE AR where I ate at Racha Restaurant and I saw a really interesting piece on bamboo. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I have to say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some other incredible details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
