I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in FAYETTEVILLE WV where I ate at Spankies Restaurant and I came across a really interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.

I must tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a little more research I found some other amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
