I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up eating alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in FALLON NV where I ate at Raley's Bakery and I came across a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got some pieces of clothing.

I must admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a little more research I discovered some other interesting details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
