I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in FAIRMONT WV where I ate at Big Chills and I read a really interesting cover story on bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a few pieces of clothing.
I have to say I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found some more incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
