I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in EUGENE OR where I ate at Hana's Restaurant and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

Bamboo Clothing EUGENE

After a little more research I found some incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
