I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in ESCONDIDO CA where I ate at 150 Grand Cafe and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found some other amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
