I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner alone in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in ERIE PA where I ate at Valerios Italian Restaurant and I saw a really interesting piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.

I must admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I discovered some other amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
