I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in ENGLEWOOD CO where I ate at Bennigan's - Denver and I came across an interesting cover story about bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought some items of clothing.

I have to say I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I found some other interesting details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
