I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in ELMONT NY where I ate at Marios Pizza and I saw a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a couple pieces of clothing.

I should say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I found out some amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
