I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in ELKINS WV where I ate at Elkins Super 8 Motel and I came across a new article about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a couple items of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I discovered some more interesting facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
