I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in EAST BRUNSWICK NJ where I ate at Pine Ridge Luncheonette and I came across a new article on bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.

I should tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I found some incredible facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
