I travel a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in DURHAM NH where I ate at Durham House of Pizza Inc and I saw an interesting article on bamboo. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a little more research I found some more incredible facts on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
