I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in DUNLAP IL where I ate at Her Majesty's English Tea Room and I read an interesting cover story to do with bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I found out some more interesting facts on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
