I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in DOWNINGTOWN PA where I ate at Italian Village Pizza & Beer and I read a really interesting piece about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.

I must admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I found out some amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
