I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in DOUGLASVILLE GA where I ate at Tokyo Japanese Seafood & Steak House and I saw a new cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got a couple basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I discovered some interesting details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
