I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in DETROIT MI where I ate at Little Caesars Manufacturing and I came across a new cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a few pieces of clothing.
I have to say I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I found out some interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
