I move around a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in DENVER CO where I ate at Crazy Asian and I came across a really interesting cover story about bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I found out some interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
