I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in DENHAM SPRINGS LA where I ate at James Drug Store Inc and I read an interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I have to say I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found out some more amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
