I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in DELAFIELD WI where I ate at Dave & Shar's Lumber Inn and I saw a new article to do with bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.
I must admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found out some incredible details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
