I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in DECATUR TX where I ate at Roma Pasta Pizza and I saw an interesting article on bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a few items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
