I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in DECATOR GA where I ate at MOJO PIZZA and I read a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and got a few pieces of clothing.
I must say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found some other interesting details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
