I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in DAYTON OH where I ate at Family Market and I saw an interesting piece about bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and bought some pieces of clothing.

I should tell you I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I discovered some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
