I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in DALTON GA where I ate at P C Jr Restaurant and I came across a new piece on bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got some basic items of clothing.

I should say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found out some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
