I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in CRYSTAL RIVER FL where I ate at Oysters Restaurant and I saw a new piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got some items of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After some more research I discovered some more amazing pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
