I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in CRYSTAL RIVER FL where I ate at LA Casa Di Norma and I came across a really interesting piece about bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got some basic items of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I discovered some amazing details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
