I move around a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in CROWLEY LA where I ate at P JS Grill and I came across a new piece about bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.
I must say I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I discovered some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
