I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in COVINGTON KY where I ate at Sonoma Restaurant and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a good possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.
I have to say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some amazing details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
