I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in COROLLA NC where I ate at Neptune's Grill and I read a new article about bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.
I must admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I discovered some more interesting facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
