I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in COOS BAY OR where I ate at Hilltop House and I saw an interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got a couple basic items of clothing.
I should tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
