I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in COON RAPIDS MN where I ate at Seasons Restaurant and I read an interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got some pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found out some incredible details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
