I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in CONCORD NH where I ate at Brianas' Bistro and I came across a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a couple pieces of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a little more research I discovered some more interesting details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
