I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in COLUMBUS MS where I ate at Landmark Hotel and I came across a new piece on bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found some interesting facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
