I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in COLUMBUS NE where I ate at Husker Steak House and I saw a new article about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.

I must tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some other amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
