I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating all alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in COLUMBIA KY where I ate at Ruthie's Family Resaurant and I came across an interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good option for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I should admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a little more research I found out some other incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
