I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in COLTON CA where I ate at Antonious Pizza and I came across an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.

I must say I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I found some other interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
