I travel a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in COLORADO SPRINGS CO where I ate at Chungs Chinese Restaurant and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I found some other interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
